Poreč - Croatia - 04 September 2018
MITOMED+ workshop “Indicators of sustainable tourism in maritime and coastal destinations” was held in Poreč on 4th of September. The morning was divided into two roundtables dedicated to main themes of the project, Data management for the sustainable development of tourism and Green Beaches. Project partners presented the main results achieved in the first half of the project and discussed with local and regional stakeholders about the concrete impact of actions on tourism destinations. Some very interesting practices and national policies implemented in Croatian destinations, like the National program of management and planning of sea beaches and Mali Lošinj experience with ETIS indicators were presented as well and this was the opportunity to make comparisons, learn from each and search for synergies between involved policy makers, M&C tourism destinations and local stakeholders.
In this occasion project partners had also the opportunity to visit two fully implemented MITOMED+ Green beaches, Gradsko kupalište in Poreč and Girandella in Labin-Rabac.
