Tuscany

Castiglione della Pescaia lies among the blue sea and the green of the hills. Scaled on a spur of Monte Petriccio, the ancient medieval village is protected by a remarkable wall with towers, portals and a 15th century castle. Castiglione della Pescaia is an ancient fishing village, in whose picturesque harbor-canal every evening still today the fishing boats dock with their darting cargo. The village is immersed in an extended "green lung" where various animals and a rich and varied flora coexist. Awarded repeatedly several times from 2005 to the present with the 5 sails of Legambiente, positioning itself first seaside resort for environmental and tourist quality in the annual ranking of Legambiente and Touring Club, is known for its beautiful beaches and large pine forests that continue to Marina di Grosseto , where they end with the magnificent Pineta di Tombolo.

The Municipality of Castiglione della Pescaia participates in the "Green Beach" project by nominating one of its free beaches in the Pinewood of the Tombolo, characterized by the presence of dunes over two meters, covered by typical vegetation that seems to protect the pine forest from the influence of the sea. The beach, located within a "Site of Regional Naturalistic Importance", is about 6 km long and up to 100 meters wide; mostly it is a free beach frequented by sportsmen and lovers of wild nature. It can be reached from different points on foot along a stretch of beautiful pine forest that keeps intact its natural characteristics and is also bordered by a cycle path that is inserted inside the Tirrenica Ciclovia

Montignoso is located in the north of Tuscany, and extends from the Versilia coast to the Apuan ridge, characterized by very different natural landscapes ranging from the equipped beaches of Cinquale, the mountains of the Parco delle Apuane and the coastal plain with Lake di Porta. The strong tourist vocation of the Municipality of Montignoso has its point of excellence in the seaside resort of Cinquale, in an area where "Green beach model" will be implemented. Clear sea and equipped beaches are unforgettable scenery for many tourists, both italian and foreign, who choose this stretch of Tuscan coast for a holiday in a spirit of relax, fun and quality of services.

San Vincenzo is one of the best equipped tourist centers on the Costa degli Etruschi, a place to come on holiday all year round, not just in the summer. At the center of the village is the tourist port that allows nautical tourism to find an excellent landing point within the Tuscan archipelago. San Vincenzo offers a wide range of sports facilities and equipped nature trails where sports tourism in particular linked to the bicycle has consolidated its presence, offering tourists the opportunity to practice a sport during their stay. Its coastline of light and fine sand stretches for twelve kilometers and for large stretches has behind it a dense Mediterranean vegetation that directly reaches the beach.

The stretch of free beach where the "green beach model" will be implemented coincides with the beach of the Rimigliano park in the south of the Municipality, a natural park that is part of the Val di Cornia Park System and offers some of the most breathtaking views of the whole of Tuscany: presence of dunes, Mediterranean scrub, oak and pine woods and the profile of the Tuscan Archipelago on the horizon. The park extends along the coast for a length of almost six kilometers with an average depth varying from 200 to 240 meters and is equipped with showers and public toilets located in specific points
